Welcome to Mayapur Divine Threads

Embarking on a path guided by devotion and craftsmanship, Mayapur Divine Threads was born out of a profound desire—to merge our talents with the sacred service of Krishna and His devoted followers. Crafting exquisite designs isn’t just a skill; it’s an offering, a means to immerse ourselves fully in the divine service. For us, designing and production is a part of our dharma and we find solace in the realization that every thread woven carries a whisper of devotion, connecting us intimately with the Lord Krishna. In each production, we honor the timeless traditions and our spiritual heritage as handed to us by guru parampara.

Our Story

The genesis of Mayapur Divine Threads traces back to the visionary minds of His Grace Jananivas Prabhu and His Grace Pankajanghri Prabhu, who envisioned an in-house facility to serve the deities of ISKCON Mayapur with reverence and devotion. Their aspiration extended beyond the boundaries of Mayapur, aiming to cater to the global community of ISKCON and temples worldwide, producing high-quality outfits that resonate with authenticity and devotion.

Mission and Values

Guided by the standards set forth by Srila Prabhupada, our mission revolves around personalism, cleanliness, and the satisfaction of the deities and their pujaris. We believe in authenticity and draw inspiration from scriptures to conceptualize a wide array of offerings.  At our core, we are committed to preserving and enhancing the rich tradition of deity worship through our work. We believe that our creations help deepen the connection between devotees and the deities , and we strive to bring this sacred art to the highest level of excellence.

Susukham. ‘Su means very nice, and sukham means happy. The devotional service is so nice and happy. You see this devotional service. You always engage…, you are always engaged in the Deity worship, bring nice cloth. Instead of dressing yourself with nice cloth, dress Kṛṣṇa with nice cloth. Then your desire for dressing nicely will vanish. paraṁ dṛṣṭvā nivartate [Bg 2.59].

Our Approach

At Mayapur Divine Threads, it’s not just business; it’s a service to the deities and Vaishnavas. We integrate professionalism with personalism, with devotion as our foundation. We specialize in the intricate arts of Aari and Zardosi, combining traditional craftsmanship with devotional artistry to create stunning, detailed deity attire. Aari work involves fine needlework using a hooked needle to create elaborate chain stitch patterns, allowing for intricate designs and delicate detailing. Zardosi, on the other hand, is a form of heavy, elaborate embroidery that uses gold and silver threads, beads, and sequins to create rich, ornate patterns. Our expertise in these techniques ensures each piece is a masterpiece of beauty and devotion to be offered with love to Krishna and his associates.

Notable Successes

Our journey is adorned with numerous milestones, from outfitting 43 deities at ISKCON Mayapur for the Vyaspuja Festival of His Holiness Jayapataka Swami Maharaja to providing outfits for ISKCON London and many other temples worldwide. Testimonials from satisfied customers like Vamsivat Das, the Head Pujari of ISKCON London, reaffirm our commitment to excellence.

Community Involvement

Mayapur Divine Threads, an initiative of ISKCON Mayapur endorsed by the ISKCON Deity Worship Ministry, is dedicated to serving devotees and temples worldwide. All profits from Mayapur Divine Threads support Mayapur Academy, an institution devoted to training pujaris in various arts and fields of deity worship, fostering the creation of brahminical culture in society.
